My Total Cholesterol Is 259 HDL 65 And LDL 169.

My total cholesterol is 259 HDL 65 and LDL 169. My Triglyceride is 124. I am a 60 year old woman. My cardiologist wouldn't discuss options for lowering my cholesterol and immediately wanted me to start pravastatin 20mg. I am anti - medication if at all possible.
