My Two Year Old Grandson Had A Brown Tick Removed

My two year old grandson had a brown tick removed by my daughter today. She was unable to remove the head but put alcohol cotton ball on it and Vaseline. I am very worried. When she called the pediatrician, they told her that it was too early to tell, and to give it 3-4 weeks and then they would be able to test him. Just to watch out for the symptoms. What is your advise???
