My Type 1 Diabetic 63 Year Old Husband Of 35

My type 1 diabetic 63 year old husband of 35 years has had three ketoacidosis episodes, the first resulted in 5 way heart bypass, he's been taking Ramipril and Carvedilol for years. The most recent, last week ended up with him in ER and admitted and treated for the DKA and a urinary infection with antibiotic drip. He doesn't have any insurance, so they are sending him home with Hospice. His blood pressure has been consistently normal during 4 days stay, blood sugar is regulated and he's still kind of weak, but stronger and very much more alert. What would be the best and worst case scenario and the inbetween, please.
