Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My uncle is 48 years of age and has just received news that he has been diagnosed esophageal-cancer. He has taken tests to find out if it has spread at all. His stomach, lungs and everything is clear except his lymph nodes have it too. The doctor gave his a 45% chance. They are removing his esophagus and going to try to stretch his stomach to replace it. He starts chemo in a week and has surgery in 2 wherw they said he will have to stay in hospital for aboht 2 weeks then have a 3 month recovery. Can you please help provide me with all the info you can about this? Does being found in the lymph nodes make it Matastatic-esophageal cancer? Meaning it can't be cured? Can he beat this? Is there more we can do? Light therapy? Himalayan salts? Vitamin b17? THC oils? I need all the help I can get.. please help me
