My Vaginal Area (mons Pubis, Labia Majors) Have Swollen Quite

My vaginal area (mons pubis, labia majors) have swollen quite suddenly. It's not hot to the touch nor painful... Possible slight itchiness but I may be being paranoid about the itch. The swelling is noticeable to look at and the labia majora feel quite firm. Is this Edema? If so what can I do to treat it? And what could be the sudden cause? Please help.
