My Wife - 68 Years Old - Has Pain In

My wife - 68 years old - has pain in her left upper arm, right where the deltoid muscle ties into the bone, on the outside of the upper arm, midway between the elbow and shoulder. There was no specific injury to the area. We are wondering if this problem might be related to starting taking atorvastatin (lipitor) about 2 years ago. We've heard that atorvastatin can cause muscle soreness and weakness.
