My Wife, Age 66, Just Started Having Excruciating Stabbing Eye

My wife, age 66, just started having excruciating stabbing eye pain in the left eye about 2 hours ago. She has kerataconus (?) history. wears contacts, currently has them out. cannot open eye due to light sensitivity. Pain comes and goes but it seems to be in the eyeball. does not have headache. Taken 3 arthritis-strength Tylenol about 10 minutes ago. has dull throbbing pain now as she is reclining. holding pillow over the left eye. No other pain anywhere in head, neck, or facial area. No numbness, no tingling, etc.
