My Wife Age Is 38 Years. There Were 2 Previous

My wife age is 38 years. There were 2 previous cases of miscarriage. I have 1 son with age of 10 years

LMP = 13th Nov - 15;
Ultrasound was done on 03 Jan - 2016: Mean sac diameter us 0.91 cm

Lonopin 40 mg is advised on daily basis

1) At what stage i could expect heart beat
2) Is there any side effect of Lonopin 40 mg? Doctor has advised to take injection till heart beat
3) Lonopin is very painful. There is lot of clotting on the area

Please advice
