My wife has kidney failure and cirrhosis of the liver, stage 4. Dialysis is taking the fluid off from the waste down, but there is a lot of fluid gathering in the abdominal area. One GI Dr. wants to install an internal cath with external release but I understand there is an infection increase. What is the best way to remove this fluid build up in the abdominal area.
