My Wife Has Occasional Edema Episodes, And Is Having One

My wife has occasional edema episodes, and is having one today. She woke up with swollen jowel, and right upper lip. She took 2 benedryl allergy pills and laid down. The edema spread to the other side of her upper lip and jowel. After 4 hours she took 2 more benedryls and put an ice pack on her lip. Is there anything else we should do?
