My Wife Has Recurring Yeast Infections. I Have Recently Seen

My wife has recurring yeast infections. I have recently seen small patches on my penis where a thin layer of skin turns white around the edges, and sloughs off. There is no pain, and the newly exposed skin is pinkish and wrinkled in appearance, and returns to normal after putting lotion on it for one or two days. Is this an indicator that I have a yeast infection also, and if so, can I treat it with a topical cream, or some other way?
Are we just passing this back and forth between us during sex?
