My Wife Is 53 Years Old, And Has Lately Been

My wife is 53 years old, and has lately been experiencing pain around her heart area under her left breast. This has been going on for a while. it does not appear to be heart related, but she wakes up feeling like its a heart attack and the pain is severe and lasts for about 4-5 minutes before subsiding. all her heart tests come back negative. when she talks to a doctor, all they hear is pain around the heart area and shipher off. can there be something else? she says her family has some kind of arthritis history and some known to have it in the chest. is this a thing?
