My Wife Is 60. She Has Lost Her Appetite And

My wife is 60. She has lost her appetite and cannot sleep. A month ago she went camping in central Florida for a week. She found a tick, and was bit by something. I believe it was a black widow. About a week after she got home she went to the doctor and he put her on a one week dose of Cipro. Her mom and sister both had bad reactions to Cipro in the past. She got the usual diarrhea that comes with Cipro. But then she developed stomach pain and a backache. It got so bad that I took her to the hospital and she was put through blood tests, urinalysis, ct scan. She complained of tightness in the chest. They ran an ekg that night and another the next day. The second ekg showed an irregularity, so they did a heart cath on her. The results off everything done at the hospital were negative. So she came home with the same stomach pains that she went in with. That's when she started not eating. She was sleeping a little at night, but now she's barely sleeping at all, an hour or two and that's it. The doctor has run a second young of blood tests for Lyme disease, but we won't get those results until Tuesday. This has turned into anxiety and mild depression. Her mom and our daughter have both been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but she has never shown signs of it. I'm getting extremely worried about her current issues of no eat, no sleep. She can't keep going on like this. She has lost about 12 pounds in the past 2 weeks. Nobody can seem to figure out what is going on. She was given a prescription muscle relaxer to her her sleep. It worked one night and that was it. We tried zzzquil and she slept for several hours another night and then it didn't work. She says it feels like somebody turned on the adrenaline switch and forgot to turn it off. She also claims to be in a dark fog. I have suggested a psychiatrist but she's very reluctant as her mom had a history of mental illness and I think that's affecting her decision and may be contributing to her anxiety. I would appreciate any suggestions to ideas to help her.
Thanks
