My Wife, She Is 68 Years Old, Had Gall Bladder

My wife, she is 68 years old, had gall bladder surgery on July 18th, 2015 due to intense pain on the lower abdomen. The surgery was sucessful, except that after the operation she keeps coughing real hard during the day and at night it gets worse. Can u help me please? she is taking Halls mentoliptus and another precriptions but to not avail. Cough stops but come back in 30-40 minutes until finally she goes to sleep.
