My Wife Was On Prednisone For About 4 Months To

My wife was on prednisone for about 4 months to combat an immune system attack on her liver. Her dosage was gradually decreased, and she completed her treatment in mid December 2015. Recently, we have noticed that she is losing scalp hair at an alarming rate. Our question is: Is this a result of taking prednisone, and if so, will it eventually stop, and will the hair regrow?
