Need To Know If Serious Enough To See Doctor. I

Need to know if serious enough to see doctor. I have a nagging pain in the right back of my lower skull, not like a headache, almost like a vein or a muscle that just doesn't want to go away completely. I've tried stretching and can feel it, but stretching isn't helping. Tylenol type meds do not keep it gone, because it comes back daily. It feels scary a little bit and that is why I'm worried, but don't want to pay for doctor appointment if it is just stress or something. Hard to describe it really.
