Hello. I was recently diagnosed with moderate aortic regurgitation. Per echocardiogram.(also mild mytral valve regurgitation)
I requested the echo due to some transient shortness of breath and weakness ONLY during exertion. ( minor tasks like carrying groceries, reaching for things on shelf, or tying shoes and then standing back up. ) I was referred to cardiologist but not until appt 2/13.
Also prior i had an ecg that showed first degree av block.
I am a bit confused about it!
(The echocardiogram showed no enlargement. )is this a wait and Is this a wait and see situation? . I have little interest in going out etc as i am most comfort relaxing in my home. I feel totally fine and think im being a hypochondriac until i get short of breath and muscle weakness. Why have symptoms when the stage is fairly mild?

Why have symptoms when the stage is fairly moderate with no heart enlargment etc. Would the mild av block be a factor??
