Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
OK. I am a cancer at the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh. My treatment caused nerve damage(peripheral neuropathy). I have dealt with it for over 4 years now. My cancer was in stage 4 when first diagnosed. It spread to my lower back and my left hip. i also have had a tumor removed from my right lung. I am OK but I think this treatment caused a lot more damage to mu body. After all it involved big time radiation and chemo. My primary tumor was in my throat and under my tongue (like Michael Douglas) and I know that they really blasted it in order to kill it. But I have never been the same after my treatment. Always lethargic, tired, despair. I was on line trying to see if my symptoms are common or just weird? I'm really tired of the scans, shots, blood work etc. I know my Oncologist wants to keep a close eye on me. I am told that my cancer is notorious for returning. I'm just sick of the whole thing. If my cancer return I will not treat it. I will just let it have it's way. Happy New Year!
