Ok About 72hrs Ago I Woke Up With A Sore

Ok about 72hrs ago I woke up with a sore throat that I thought was caused by spicy food & lemonade before bed. The soreness continued thru the day & was joined by a headache, a fever (100.02 at one point), aches/pains/chills similar to a cold or flu. In the last 24-36 hours the chills, fever, aches & pains have passed but the sore throat & headache remain. about an hour ago I awoke from a nap to get some water. in doing so I spit out blood. not allot but enough for concern. As to treatment I have taken decongestants which seem to ease the "nasal drip" in the back of my throat & my headache. So hwats going on?
