Ok Here I Go. I Had A Large Colon Resection

Ok here I go. I had a large colon resection 12/1/14. Since then I have been losing my hair and now have several "patches" that are getting bald. I have read that it may be due to the nutrients in my food cannot be absorbed due to so much of my colon (3 foot) being removed. Could this be true?
