Okay So I Am Unable To Sit Or Lay Down

Okay so I am unable to sit or lay down on my back because of huge pain in the top area of my butt crack, but it's more like 1.5 inches from the top into the crack. It started getting worse day by day. So I went to my doctor she said it was a huge abscess and that I need to take hot baths and antibiotics and to watch it just in case it starts to show pus. Did antibiotics for 3 days went back still not any softer so she could drain it. So she gave me a new antibiotic and told me to try it for 3 more days. But today I had my mother look at it and she says its turning dark, black. And that's because on my appointment on Friday it was more red than black. So was it just a bruise this whole time??? Or can abscess' turn black before draining???
