Old Incision Swollen And Red Because Of A Heating Pad Does It Need Medical Attention?

Please type your query here... last week I feel asleep on a heating pad, turned over and rested an old scar on the hot pad which broke into blisters (I'm pretty sure this is what happened). One week later, the blisters are scabbed but incision is red and swollen with scabs. Should I be concerned about Staph?
