On Dec 11 my hgb A1c was 14. horrible. I can ony take one Metformin a day. More than that gives me horrific diarrhea. I also take Tradjenta once a day. The doctor added Lantus 10 u daily. I got permission to gradually increase my dose. Iam now up to 30 u and still my blood sugars are high 200's in a.m and high 300's 2 hours after supper. Why isn't my doctor adding a short acting insulin to bring my blood sugar down faster?
