On Friday Afternoon, I Noticed A Small White Pimple On

On Friday afternoon, I noticed a small white pimple on the back of my gym where my wisdom tooth would grow in. I told my dad to get me a dentists appointment for Tuesday, seeing as Monday(today) is Memorial Day and the dentist is closed. I haven't bitten down nor eaten anything on that side, but about an hour ago, I noticed that the pus was gone and I'm freaking out because I know if it is a dental abscess it could kill me. What should I do?
