On Average My Blood Pressure Readings Taken At Home Are

On average my blood pressure readings taken at home are in the range of 125/85. At hospital or in the doctor's surgery it is always higher. I have a very healthy diet and walk regularly. My doctor is recommending 1.25mg of Ramipril. I am concerned about the side effects as my health is generally good and my kidney function very good. Should I seek alternative treatment?
