On The Inside Of My Mouth, Right Above Where My

On the inside of my mouth, right above where my teeth would meet if my mouth was shut, is where the problem is. There is like a layer of skin hanging down about a millimeter on one side and two millimeters on the other that I did not notice before. They are really sensitive and one side is extremely raw. They're high enough up, that I'm almost certain its not jaw bites. But they're low enough that food rubs against them when I eat. What and how do I get rid of these thibgs?
