One Day After My Ovulation, I Started Spotting A Bit

One day after my ovulation, I started spotting a bit and thought that this was most likely ovulation spotting and it would end after 2-4 days. It didn't, and I've been bleeding for 11 days now. It's consistent and at times it will be like normal blood, but most of the time it is discolored. I have been experiencing very mild pain from time to time but nothing major. Why is this happening?
