One Day Last Week And Again This Week, I Have

One day last week and again this week, I have had severe pain in my lower abdomen mainly on my left side. Pain went away after a few hours but left me tired and sore. I am wondering what could be causing this, I understand it could be many things but would like to try to narrow it down before seeing a doctor.
