Our Health Plan Dr Wrote Prescription For Lyrica 50 Mg

Our health plan dr wrote prescription for Lyrica 50 mg for my husband and now the HMO said will not cover cost of this prescription until my husband goes on a trial of 30 days trying 2 alternative prescriptions (ea thirty days ) My husband cant take gabapentin, as he cannot work on this med ication-puts him to sleep.. he was on Lyrica up to 75 mg 2x day w a previous health plan the drugs that our current HMO wants him to do on a trial for 30 days are: Cymbalta or Amitriptyline (Elevil) what side effects do these drugs have. He has burning bottom feets, has spinal stenous, ureter-left kidney has stones, etc...been on tramadol for long time (years) and seems to overmedicate when he has control of opiod prescriptions... no more than 6 in 24 hr period and he has taken more than that, if he has control of his meds.
