Over The Last Couple Days, I've Had Recurring Dizzy Spells.

Over the last couple days, I've had recurring dizzy spells. I'll be just fine one minute, and the next I'm leaning heavily against a wall as everything around me swims. There is no medical history in my family of any kind of ear problems. Am I sick with something? Is it an ear infection? How do I treat it?
