Over The Past Month, I Have Had 17 "episodes" Where

Over the past month, I have had 17 "episodes" where the left side of my body...face all the way down to toes...cramps or spasms all at the same time. I can feel the onset which takes approximately 10-15 seconds to peak. Stays at that peak for another 10-15 seconds. Another 10-15 seconds for the release. I've dealt with tension headaches most of my life. I just returned from the neurologist after having an MRI with & without contrast, a CT scan, and an EEG, all of which he claimed to be normal. He told me he "thinks" these episodes are seizures and prescribed me an anti seizure medication. I was/am in shock. My response to him was Epilepsy? He said yes. I said I'm a 47 year old woman with no history of seizures and you're telling me all of a sudden I'm epileptic? He said yes. Is this possible?
