Patches Of My Gums, And The Inside Of My Mouth

Patches of my gums, and the inside of my mouth feel rough. I have woke up quite a few times in the last week with a sore tongue and it has been difficult to talk because of the pain. Before these two symptoms I had a mouth ulcer, but that disappeared after the sore tongue started.
