Periodically When I Pass Gas I Get Excruciating Pain That

Periodically when I pass gas I get excruciating pain that follows. The pain can last anywhere from five to twenty minutes. It feels like a sharp pain shooting directly upward in my rectum but also pressure that my bottom is being pulled out. I usually have to do a breathing method to help me through. At times I will feel lightheaded and dizzy due to the intensity of the pain. What could cause this to be happening?
