Pernicious Anemia?!?! Level Of B12 = 123 Plus An Antibody

Pernicious anemia?!?! Level of b12 = 123 plus an antibody in digestive track that prevents absorbtion of b12. 53 yr old female, low grade fever, altered cognitive abilities, stagger, clumsiness, skin lesions and infections for approx 6 years. Finally a ruehmy diagnosed PA on Friday - 1st b12 shot administered than with no improvement so far...severely itchy, painful and probably infected scalp, pins and needles itchiness everywhere, look like a victim of domestic violence with prominent dark circles. Plus am bloated especially in face, neck, hands, feet, abdomen. Will the injections help? I am angry that no one caught this earlier. Gonna see GP this week -- what course of treatment should I fight for (it will be a fight as I've been labeled as a depressed drunk due to cognitive impairments and gait/balance issues. Insidious sneaky disease - pls elaborate
