Piece Of Sharp Metal Broke Loose Penetrated My Hand .

Piece of sharp metal broke loose penetrated my hand . It was tiny however caused major bleeding and felt like it hit bone. I stopped bleeding and now its swollen. I've gotten a tetnis shot however doctor won't open up without X-ray. Will this swelling of blood go down on it's own and is it harmful if this isn't removed?
