Please Can You Give Us Some Advice? My Partner Was

Please can you give us some advice? My partner was prescribed Utrogestan 100mg tablets to be taken twice daily after we found out she was approx. 5 weeks pregnant. On reading the Besins safety leaflet inside the box and cross referencing with Drugs.com, Medicines.org.uk and Doktoronline.com we saw that all of them said do not take this drug if you are pregnant. We questioned the Doctor who said it's standard practise for a woman of 39. I understand that this potentially could be a high risk pregnancy, but with no previous miscarriages, is there a requirement to take this drug? Unfortunately we found out yesterday that the foetus had stopped growing at around 7 weeks (this was a ten week scan).
