Please Excuse My Spelling. I Do Not Know How To

Please excuse my spelling. I do not know how to spell medical terms so bare with me. My wife has a hiadiale hernia. She has had for years. She has been given meds for acid reflux but she does not take it as prescribed. Tonight she tells me that the acid reflux is causing her to have pain in her esophagus. She says that she even has trouble swallowing water. What can I/we do to relieve these symptoms? WhaT ARE THE DANGERS OF HER NOT TENDING TO THIS ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER? IS IT SOMETHING THAT IS CONSIDERED serious?
