Prescribed Effexor HCL ER 37.5mg, 1 Capsule QD, 3 Weeks

Prescribed Effexor HCL ER 37.5mg, 1 capsule QD, 3 weeks ago for severe hot flashes. Also hx of depression but was not taking any RX for that. Felt pretty good for about 4-5 days and hot flashes in the day were greatly reduced. However, lately been feeling numb, tingly, depressed, tired, unmotivated and my hot flashes have returned. Feeling like I want to stop this drug. I am 51, hysterectomy about 5 years ago. Ovaries intact.
Any recommendations? Cathy
