Recently, I Have Developed A Hole In My Mouth Behind

Recently, I have developed a hole in my mouth behind my top left molar in the back of my mouth. I think it might be an ulcer of some kind, but I'm not really sure. My dentist said I should be expecting my wisdom teeth to come in shortly but I don't ever remember my gums forming a hole before teeth came through. It's extremely painful and talking and I can't open my mouth very far and it makes chewing difficult. It even hurts to swallow. The inside of my cheek on the left side near the back has also swelled up and has developed a raised welt that's scraping on my teeth and is also extremely painful. My ear and the left side of my jaw have also started to ache, I have a dentist appointment but it's not for another few weeks and the hole in my mouth is troubling me a lot. I've tried looking up what it could be, but I didn't really find anything that matched my symptoms. Do you have any idea what it could be?
