Recently I Was Diagnosed With 5 Of 7 Cervical Discs

Recently I was diagnosed with 5 of 7 cervical discs that are herniated and 6 and 7 are gone--bone on bone sort of "v" shaped. Is it possible that the vertebrae are causing the sleep apnea that I was recently diagnosed with? This all started as a result of a diagnosis last year of afib--I noticed that I would go to bed feeling fine and wake up in afib. I have also gained 50 pounds in thelast 7 years.
