Recently Hospitalized For Five Days With Colitis. My First Bout.

Recently hospitalized for five days with colitis. My first bout. I have a twenty yr. history of colon problems including a re-sectioning of lower left colon. I have peripheral neuropathy (25 yrs) take lyrica 200 mg D. I have irregular heartbeat, 4 stents, coronary heart disease. I have arthritis and tendon problems, total knee replacement, shoulder joints, etc. etc. I was given five days of intravinous flagyl and levofloxacin as well as five days oral levofloxacin when released. I became so stoved-up and in such pain when moving my neck, body, arms hands legs, feet. I couldn't turn over in bed without screaming I call for 911 after reading the warning signs of levofloxacin. They couldn't get rid of me fast enough when I was in the ER and they looked up my records. I was given no water, or IV I told them I was dehydrated, weak in pain and at 76 lived alone. After one shot of a muscle relaxant they sent me home in a taxi which cost me $145.00. It was 11:30 at night and I lived one hour away from the hospital, up in the mountains. Was there another drug I could take instead of levofloxacin? In the past when I have had colon infections, they used cipro and and flagyal.(spelling?)It has taken me over one month to feel better, still weak, tired, sometimes confused and dizzy. Now I am getting sharp knife stabbing pains in the side and back of my knee and my hip and thigh, which never hurt me before.
