Regarding Oral Herpes Medication: I Was Just Prescribed Both Valtrex
Regarding oral herpes medication: I was just prescribed both Valtrex and oral Acyclovir.
I take 500mg Valtrex daily everyday and increase it to 1000mg during an outbreak. I also have always used Acyclovir cream during an outbreak. When my Dr entthe RX for the acyclovir cream, my insurance company told me that I must try the oral acyclovir and see if that works before they will approve the cream. Is taking Valacyclovir plus oral acyclovir even ok to do?
