Ronny, 51 - stroke in R side of cerebellum 30 months ago - seems to be swallowing saliva ok, but cannot pass a swallow test. (From birth mentally challenged, so very difficult to understand why he cannot have any food. Very sad) Therapist today said there is some sort of electronic stimulation technique to activate the epiglottis. I haven't yet found information on that. What can you tell me? We will continue the standard speech therapy exercises. Heart-broken Mom
