Seratonergic toxicity.
6 y/o 25 kg male child with autism taking Prozac and melatonin, exhibiting mild to moderate symptoms such as agitation, insomnia and behavioral difficulties. Cardiovascular signs normal, all symptoms appear to be CNS. 6 days out from receiving Fentanyl 25 mcg.
1. Could reducing Prozac dose by 50% improve this behavior without causing anti-depressant cessation syndrome or
2. implement cyproheptadine at 0.25mg/kg/day to inhibit 5-HT2a?
