Severed the tip of my L thumb in tablesaw incident. ER doctor placed the severed skin onto the severed tip as a graft and it was well sutured.
It is now exactly 5 weeks in. The graft turned white and remained so until 5 days ago when I was advised by the same doctor to stop ointments and let it dry toward final healing. There is no discharge, not heat, some pink-red at the edges, and I’ve no fever; but the graft is now reddish brown and feel to touch like rawhide. Thoughts, Dr.?
