Should D & C Be Done For Heavy And Prolonged Bleeding?

Hello doctor,

After 12 months of my first delivery ,got period .its heavy bleeding for a while ..nearly 20days .went to gynacologist and taken ultrasound .got the report that my endometrium thickness is 18mm .is it very dangerous ?my gyn gave duphaston tablet for 7days for getting the heavy bleeding again to washed out the tissues...is it work it out ?orelse i have to go for D&C? Please advice me ...am very much worried about this problem .now am taking the medicine as per doctor advised
