Should I Be Concerned About HIV After Unprotected Sex During My Partner’s Period?
Hi Doc,
I’m a 22 heterosexual white male from Ohio. I had unprotected sex with a white heterosexual female that was 21. She told me her number of sexual partners was 3. The first were protected encounters and the 3rd wasn’t due to a long term relationship. We had unprotected sex twice in the same day, she was on her period. The main concern of mine is that of HIV. Also important to note that I have extreme anxiety and can’t seem to stop thinking about the worst outcomes. I have taken a HIV RNA qualitative test at 10 days post exposure. Should I calm down here or should I be concerned?
