Should I Be Concerned About A Missed Period And Mild Cramping While On Metformin For PCOS, Despite A Negative HCG Test?

Greetings. I have PCOS and currently taking metformin 1000mg daily. I ve been taking the medication for about 5 months now. It has regulated my cycle. This month I did not receive my cycle, as I m a week late as of now. I ve taken a HCG test and the results were negative. Is this something I should be concerned about and seek medical attention? I ve had mild cramping as if my cycle is about to start but nothing yet. Please advise if I should seek medical attention or relax. Thanks In advance.
