Should I Be Concerned About A Sharp Pain That Began

Should I be concerned about a sharp pain that began suddenly and continues for at least an hour, located under the right breast bone area, near the sternum ? It has subsided some, after taking 3 Tums tablets, but seems to intensify if I lean forward from the waist.
