Should I Be Concerned About My Toddler’s Persistent Dry Cough After Tooth Extraction?

My 3 yr old had 2 teeth extracted and now she has developed a dry cough that is very frequent. I have been giving her cough medicine but this has not helped. Will this go away or should I be concerned and take her to ER? Or back to dentist? I took her to her PCP and was just given cough syrup which is not working.
